For a limited time, business owners can earn 150,000 Membership Rewards points with the new benefit of The Business Platinum Card® from American Express if they can meet their high spending requirements.
If you want premium business and travel perks beyond the welcome bonus and can afford a high annual fee, this card is worth considering.
Learn more about the new American Express Business Platinum Bonus
The Business Platinum Card® from American Express currently offers 150,000 bonus points after you spend $20,000 in the first three months of cardmembership. This works out to about $6,667 per month, which is out of reach for many small business owners.
But if your business can easily clear that much operating expense, the bonus can be worth up to $1,500 if you redeem points directly at American Express and one of the card issuer's frequent flyer program partners. In some cases, you can get even more value if you transfer your benefits.
One thing to keep in mind before applying is that American Express has a strict once-per-lifetime welcome offer policy. If you have earned a Platinum Card welcome bonus in the past, you may not be eligible to receive it again. The good news is that Amex will notify you with a pop-up if you are ineligible when applying and will cancel your application before you submit it if you choose not to proceed.

Should I apply for limited-time benefits on the Business Platinum Card?
If you've had your sights set on AmEx Business Platinum for a while, now might be a good time to pull the trigger and apply.
However, it's important to make sure you meet the card's minimum spend requirements before submitting your application. This card allows you to carry a balance using the Pay Over Time feature, but interest rates can be high and any balance over the Pay Over Time limit must be paid in full each month.
Also consider the card's annual fee and benefits. You can get enough value from that benefit to offset the annual cost each year, but it's only useful if you make those purchases with or without incentives.
If you're not sure if the Business Platinum Card is right for you, take the time to research and compare other top business credit cards to ensure you choose the one that best suits your small business needs.
