BrewDog's global business development head Neil Simpson also left, along with former CEO James Watt.
Simpson joined BrewDog in 2012 as its first finance director and was appointed global business development director in 2018, and sat on the brewer's board of directors.
A BrewDog spokesman said: “Following James Watt's recent decision to step down as CEO, global business development director Neil Simpson has also decided to step down from his role after 12 years to pursue new business ventures.”
“We thank Neil for his contributions and wish him the best for the future.”
Prior to joining BrewDog, Simpson worked at accountancy firm Ritson Smith and has been an adviser to BrewDog since its launch in 2007.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
In 2020, he served a short time as interim chief financial officer ahead of the appointment of Neil McCallum.
James Taylor then succeeded McCallum as BrewDog's CFO in October 2023.
Revenues are set to grow from less than £20 million to £321 million by 2023 during Simpson's time at BrewDog.

Last month the Aberdeenshire brewer announced that chief operating officer James Arrow would take over the day-to-day running of the business, with Watt returning to a non-executive role to “focus on other projects and interests”.
BrewDog is yet to announce Simpson's successor or Arrow's appointment as COO.
