Development news for July 2023
Petercourt Town Square
We visited Scott Collins, owner of Sunrise Bagels in Petercourt Town Square Center, to hear about his plans, as a Starbucks will be built next to its current location. .
He plans to move to the east end of the mall's main section (formerly Edward Jones) this fall. They will have larger ovens and be able to produce more bagels. A patio for outdoor dining will be built next summer. He doesn't expect to lose his loyal customers. And we know that Starbucks can't compete with bagels.
Portland Rock Gym is completing part of its new location in the building that recently housed Orchard Hardware. The north end of the building is expected to open later this summer and will include facilities for bouldering, yoga and fitness training.
The south end of the building will feature a 55-foot climbing wall, indoor and covered outdoor bouldering, locker rooms with showers and saunas, and other fitness facilities. Visit the website for more information and to sign up for pre-membership.
No new information has been received about plans to subdivide the former Albertsons building to house a small grocery store, food court and another retail space. As soon as I know more, I'll write about it.
