A gym and exercise studio that opened about two years ago has closed, citing “financial” reasons.
Trib3 Southampton, which focused on high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in brightly lit studios, closed on Friday.
Tom Hampton, who ran Trib3 in Southampton, thanked his customers for their support and loyalty.
In a statement shared on the venue's Instagram page, he said: “It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the closure of TRIB3 Southampton.
“Due to a combination of landlord issues and financial reasons, Trib3 Southampton will be closing its doors tomorrow, February 9, 2024.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and loyalty over the years. It has been a privilege to be part of the Southampton community for the past two years.”
Franchise partners also expressed their gratitude to the studio's employees and coaches for their efforts in providing “outstanding” service.
He added: “I'm extremely proud of the team and community we've built at Southampton.
“Thank you for joining me on this journey for every burpee, press-up, and lunge. It's been such a fun ride!”
The venue, located at 22 Cumberland Place, opened to the public on January 15, 2022.
